Positive Early Dental Experiences
At Ocean Dental, we are committed to helping kids feel comfortable during their visits so they can maintain good oral health now and into adulthood.
Our dedicated team will walk you through the process of introducing your children to the dentist. We will work at your child's pace, take breaks if they get overwhelmed, and explain each step of the process. We will also teach them how to brush their teeth properly so they can maintain their best oral health between appointments.
We even have a children's play area in our office to help them feel right at home while they wait for their appointment to begin.
How Often Should Children Visit the Dentist?
We recommend that you bring your child to visit the dentist around the age of three, twice a year (just like you), or more often, based on your child's oral health needs and our dentists' recommendations. We will do a thorough assessment of their overall oral health and do our best to help them get comfortable with our team.
Dental Services for Kids
At Ocean Dental, we offer a variety of pediatric dental care services for the children of Burnaby and the surrounding communities.
Preventive Dental Hygiene
Primary teeth are crucial for children to eat and learn to speak. They also help to guide the permanent teeth into place. Routine exams and cleanings, while your child is young, can help preserve the primary teeth until they are replaced by the permanent teeth.
During these regular appointments, the dentist will discuss the benefits of at-home oral hygiene and share tips and advice for successful brushing and flossing.
Restorative Dental Services
If your child develops a cavity, restorative treatments such as a dental filling may be recommended.
